Teachers and Staff at Emily Griffith Opportunity School,
Please read the following and know that you make a difference, your work matters, and you follow a long legacy of powerful teachers at Emily Griffith. Thank you! Please read the following.
“My grandfather's teacher at the 24th Street Elementary School in Denver was Emily Griffith, founder of the Emily Griffith Opportunity School. After being beat up and called a dirty Jew, my grandfather decided to drop out of school in eighth grade. Emily Griffith came to his house, brought him a pail of ice cream, and convinced him to stay in school. My grandfather believed that Emily Griffith's visit that day saved his life.”
