Hello all,
(CMR]
As we continue to work with DPW parking I wanted to make my remarks at our back to school meeting available to you on the staff update page of our intranet. So here are some things to remember about parking.
1. DPW Parking was hired to help us. Luke Lee is our direct contact, he told me to mention that he doesn’t bite! (Really he’s a great guy!)
2. All vehicles must have hang tags or secondary permits VISIBLE through the windshield. If you find yourself driving your secondary vehicle more than your primary vehicle, please switch your hang tag to the car you are driving the most. The hang tag is much easier for DPW to identify when monitoring the lot and helps them be more efficient.
3. If you are driving a motorcycle, please park it in one of the corner areas, do not park it in a regular stall. Preferably in the Southwest corner near the elevators, or in one of the other open corners of the 5th Floor. We anticipate the lot being full every day and need stalls available for vehicles.
4. We have requested trash receptacles to be placed on the 5th and other floors. We have to go through the HOA to get this done, so it is a slow process. Please be patient. We know that some of you have seen trash in the stairwells. Again, we sent the request to the HOA to have the security/maintenance manager have this cleaned daily and trash receptacles placed on all levels. This probably goes back to the lack of trash receptacles.
5. The cameras and emergency call boxes ARE NOT ACTIVE. We have brought it to the attention of the HOA and it is under discussion. In the mean time, they should not be relied on for emergency assistance. If you are parking during irregular hours when there is little or no daylight, please get someone to walk with you. For your safety, never be alone.
6. Do not leave anything of value in your vehicle. Cell phones, Ipods, cameras, wallets, purses, laptops, money, GPS devices, keys, etc. Do not leave these items in your vehicle if you do not want them stolen. We do not anticipate vehicles being broken into, but do not want to give anyone a reason to break into any of your vehicles.
7. If you see a problem such as one or more of the elevators not functioning, please bring it to our attention so that we can inform the HOA that they need to send an elevator technician to fix it ASAP.
8. Transponders will not be given out until sometime next year when the gate arms are installed. We will let you know as this time approaches.
If you have any parking concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
