On Sunday, September 7, long-time ESL staff member, Dick Thompson, passed away. Dick had been a part of the EGOS family for almost 20 years. He was a dedicated member of the ESL department who always found the time to make current and prospective students feel welcomed at our school. Over the years, students often made a point of stopping by the ESL office to visit with Dick or to take the time to express their thanks for his good-natured manner, as well as for the patience, assistance, and guidance he shared so readily. He always had a friendly word not only for each member of the ESL staff, but for the many other EGOS staff members he befriended. Evenings in the ESL office won’t be quite the same without Dick’s friendly presence.
Funeral arrangements are still being finalized. Those who wish to express their condolences to the family should contact Dick’s wife, Gabriela, and his daughter, Marisa Thompson.
