EGOS WINS AGAIN
Jose Gonzales, of the EGOS Culinary Arts Program, won the coveted Gold Crockpot Friday night at The 3rd Annual Chili Cook-off hosted by the Denver Press Club.
The event benefited The Women’s Bean Project one of Emily Griffith’s customized training sites. There were over 150 guests and 50 entrants with every type of chili imaginable. Jose’s entry, Emily’s Chili, received rave reviews and won the People’s Choice Award. Jose is a second semester student and is doing his internship at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown. Both Chef Tim and Jose were on hand to serve chili and shmooze with the press corps personalities.
The Denver Post and Rocky MTN News in the “Food Section” has a short article about Jose and his chili.
