Friday, March 7, the foundation was interviewed live on Channel 9 from 10-11 a.m. along with some other nonprofits. We sent them several pictures of foundation and school activities to accompany the interview. This opportunity came about because they saw our name in the paper as a recipient of a Post-News Literacy grant. We have received literacy grants from Post-News Charities for 10 years now, the most recent one being awarded in February. These grants partially fund the basic skills classes and tutoring services. One good thing leads to another!
Monday, March 10, our annual book fair will be hosted by Books Are Fun in the Library Media Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. They have great prices on new books and gifts. Part of the proceeds benefit the student scholarship fund.
