News From DPS Concerning Benefits

Dear Colleagues:

The Open Enrollment period for 2009-2010 will be held from May 1 – May 24, 2009. Choosing the proper insurance coverage, and making decisions to follow a healthier lifestyle, are important to keeping you and your family happy and healthy.
To learn about the 2009-2010 benefit offerings and what steps you can take to improve the health of you and your family, I would like to encourage you to attend one of the three "BENEFITS SPRING FLING" fairs sponsored by the DPS Employee Benefits Department:

April 9, 2009 at Bruce Randolph School at 3955 Steele Street, Denver, CO 80205 from 3:00 - 5:30 pm

April 20, 2009 at Manual High School at 1700 E 28th, Denver, CO 80205 from 9:00 - 11:30 am

April 21, 2009 at University Park Elementary School at 2300 S. Saint Paul Street, Denver, CO 80210 from 3:00 - 5:30 pm
There will be raffles and fun, interactive activities as well as informative materials on DPS benefits, wellness and financial planning offered by over 20 healthcare service representatives and vendors attending the fair. Highlights include stress management hints, free blood pressure/cholesterol screenings, chair massages, and retirement advice. All DPS insurance carriers will be in attendance to answer any questions you may have regarding coverage options and the open enrollment process.
