Holiday Food Drive

The foundation and EGOS will be participating again in the holiday food drive to benefit senior citizens who are alone for the holidays. Senior Answers & Services prepares and distributes approximately 200 baskets to seniors. Each basket contains about $50 worth of food and is topped with a fresh load of bread, a fresh chicken, fresh fruit, and a holiday gift. Sometimes this gift is the only one the senior receives, as many have no family and few friends. Containers to collect your donated items are in the main hall by registration and near the receiving room on the lower level. The following items are suggested: Boxed potatoes, rice, noodles, canned corn, beans, peas, dressing, cranberry sauce, coffee, tea, desserts, cake mixes, fruit, pickles, olives, sugar, salt, cereal, crackers, paper products, and toiletries. Cash donations are also accepted for frozen chickens, fresh fruit and bread, and small personal gifts.
