Our lovely Katrina has been with us for 8 years and in that time has brought creative ideas, lots of energy, and many smiles to our faces. She will be missed, but we must wish her well and support her as she continues on her journey.”

"Emily Griffith loved to interact with foreign students. In a speech given in 1927, she commented, "I like to think of the foreigners who come to us. They need a friend as much as they need English." She recalled one Italian girl, a student at Opportunity School, who told her, "I never used to look at your moon. I always thought about the moon in Italy. Last summer for the first time...your moon was my moon, your stars were my stars."
