Corporate Training Corner

The Corporate Training Department would like to give a very big THANK YOU to Chef Kristi Martin .On Wednesday evening EGOS hosted 17 students from the A.L.I.V.E. Program. This is a newly established education program for adults with Down syndrome and taught by two therapists who have extensive experience in working with people with cognitive disabilities. Chef Kristi taught the students to make omelets and engaged them in the process. Students enjoyed sampling the omelets and a tour of the bakery. During this class we learned that Gretchen Josephson, currently an employee at Macy’s, began her early career by taking classes at EGOS, which led to her job at the Denver Dry Goods Tea Room in downtown Denver many years ago. Thank you also goes to Slavica Park and Katrina Wert for welcoming the students to EGOS.
Dee Wood’s father, Denver, also assisted the students from the parking lot to the deli along with Jim, our security officer.
